Mitch Rouda
Mitch is a 25-year veteran of the housing industry with a track record of managing fast growth in publishing, homebuilding, business software, and e-commerce. From 1995 to 1999, Mitch was Chief Operating Officer of Trophy Homes. From 1998 to 2000, Mitch was President of HomeTouch.com, an online-assisted buy-side real-estate agency. Mitch was also President of early stage start-up company SureSell Multimedia. From 1987 to 1995, Mitch was Editor-in-Chief, Associate Publisher, BUILDER magazine (published by Hanley Wood, LLC). During his tenure the magazine grew to become the largest monthly business-to-business publication in US. He also gained recognition as a leading public speaker and observer of the business of homebuilding. Mitch rejoined Hanley Wood in 2000 and served, through 2006, as President of Hanley Wood e-Media, the company’s online publishing and e-commerce business. Mitch received a B.F.A. (Architecture) in 1979 from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.
Ward Downing
Prior to RMA, Ward held the position of Director of Business Development, e-Media at Hanley Wood where he launched and managed new online businesses from concept development and market opportunity analysis to execution and management. Some of these businesses included Hanley Wood Leads (partnership with ServiceMagic), BuilderJobs.com and ebuild.com. In addition, his expertise includes development of comprehensive business and operating plans for start-up Internet ventures; including detailed financial modeling, product development, sales and marketing plans, technology requirements, resource allocation, competitive analysis and funding requirements. Prior to Hanley Wood, Ward was a project manager for Market-Bridge, responsible for the development of sales and marketing strategies for Fortune 500 companies in technology, financial services, healthcare, and other industries.
Gabrielle Lovi
Gabrielle Lovi is an eMarketing Specialist with over 25 years of marketing experience, focusing extensively on Internet Marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) since 2000. Currently, Lovi is responsible for SEO and Web Analytics where she brings her experience and expertise to her employer's 20+ websites in the Commercial Marine, Seafood, Healthcare, and Publishing markets. In addition she creates and leads training sessions on SEO Best Practices and Web Analytics for the company’s internal operations, editorial and publishing/sales teams. Lovi is a Certified Inbound Marketing Professional and is currently working towards her Practitioner's Certification in Search Engine Optimization. Lovi is frequent guest lecturer on Internet Marketing and SEO at Southern New Hampshire University.
Michael Chotiner
Formerly a cabinetmaker and building contractor in New York City, Michael has written and edited many home-improvement books and magazines for major publishers, including Reader’s Digest, Time-Life Books, Hearst Magazines and Times Mirror Magazines. Working with Hanley Wood, LLC -- the publisher of Builder and Remodeling magazines -- Michael created the Web site ebuild, a major catalog of home-building products. Michael’s work can be found elsewhere on the Web -- including aarp.org, for which he edits the Home & Garden channel and writesaroni.com, which features further information on his background and career, including the blog post “How I Came to be Known as the Handiest Jew in New York.”
Carrie Coffey
As a regular contributor to RemodelingAdvice.com, Carrie offers a unique perspective on remodeling from a woman’s point of view. A former fashion model, she has appeared in national and international advertising campaigns, commercials and on many magazine covers. She is a habitual remodeler, having owned and renovated numerous homes. She has extensive hands on experience ranging from small do-it-yourself projects to full-scale rebuilds working with sub-contractors. Carrie is currently a university student pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies and mother of two amazing children.
